Award season may be over, but there are still some nominated films to be shown at our Sneak - in fact, Darren Aronofsky's "The Whale" (based on a stage play by Samuel D. Hunter which he himself adapted for the screen) was nominated three times and won twice - for best makeup and of course for Brendan Fraser - which means that we shad all the winning actors of 2023 at the sneak (as the other winners were all from "Everything Everywhere All at Once"). Here's the trailer:
And how did you like the perfomance by Brendan Fraser (which remained surprisingly recognizable in his makeup), plus the supporting turns by Hong Chau - who was also nominated for an Oscar - as friend/nurse Liz, by Sadie Sink as estranged daughter Ellie, plus Ty Simpkins and Samantha Morton in smaller part. What about the story and how Aronofsky told it - quite differently from "Black Swan" twelve years ago? Please let us know in a reply to this posting.

Re: #1412 The Whale (2022)
