"Silent Night" is the feature film debut of Camille Griffin, who sent the last two decades in the busimness as a camera operator while realizing the occasional short film. That "Silent Night" came to be is in no small part due to writer/director Matthew Vaughn (#0796 "Kick-Ass", #1049 "Kingsman") who originally was only consulted by Mrs Griffin, but decided to produce the film himself, and drawing recognizable actors to the project.
Here's the trailer (which spoils a central turn of the story, so be warned):
And how did you like this darkly comical take on Christmas which Mrs Griffin decribed as " 'Love Actually' meets 'Melancholia' "? How did you enjoy the performances by Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Annabelle Wallis, Lucy Punch, Lily-Rose Depp and of course "Jojo Rabbit" breakout Roman Griffin Davis, who also happens to be the son of the writer/director (his twin brothers Hardy and Gilby also appeared in the film)? Let us know what you liked and/or disliked about "Silent Night" in a reply to this posting.
