It was good to have the trailer of the first film beforehand, such films are fun for some for the moment of watching but the details get lost pretty quickly... Here it helped! And does it make sense to make a sequel when the original film had a pretty final feeling ending? Well, theoretically yes, especially when the theme is family, there can still be unexploded sibblings all around the world. So they gathered together for the ring (Elija Wood must have felt at home here!) of power for the whole Earth and not just the middle

With the help of Satan - yeah!
So it comes to pass that the victim and survivor of the first film gets back into the family affairs and has to struggle again to survive until dawn. Help is provided by a long lost sister (was she mentioned before?) and buckets full of blood - BOOM SPLATARATTA time again.
Not really that inovative even when they dropped the body countdown scheme a bit and shortenned that at the end in a big hole - yeah! AQ whiff of Satan had to be shown, hardly visible, hardly neccessary too!
Fun to watch for the time being, it even kept me awake against most odds (I would easily have slept through last week's film if it had been shown instead) and forgetting the details starts now...
I think a 3 is the appropriate rating...
