"Shotgun Wedding" was written by Mark Hammer, whose only previous credit was the screenplay for 2014's so-so "Two Night Stand". It was directed by Jason Moore, who started out with TV teen dramas like "Dawson's Creek", "One Tree Hill" or "Everwood" before moving on to big-screen projects like "Pitch Perfect" or "Sisters". The film stars Jennifer Lopez, who seems to be making a habit out of headlining early-year rom-coms again (see last years "Marry Me"), and Josh Duhamel who was only the third choice after Ryan Reynolds passed on the project and Armie Hammer became, hmm, untenable.
