Another sneak, another international collaboration; this time "Vesper" was a co-production of Lithuanian, Belgian and French filmmakers who together realized "Vesper" which was written and directed by Lithuanian filmmaker Kristina Buozyte and her French colleague Bruno Samper (the script is also credited to Brian Clark, whose only other feature film credit is little-known "Sadie" from 2016. The film falls into the realm of Eco Sci-fi, and boasts that there is not a single frame in the movie which was shot using a green screen. Here's the trailer:
"Vespers" most well-known actor is probably Eddie Marsan, a mainstay in Guy Ritche productions, who plays Jonas, the creepy uncle of the title role. That one was played by british thespian Raffiella Chapman (who will turn 15 next month), supporting roles were played by Rosy McEwen (in her first movie role) as the mysterious Camellia, and by Richard Brake a bed-ridden father Darius. How did you like their performances, the world-building, the story and the visual effect of this post-apocalyptic world (which was probably mostly real Lithuania)? Let us know what you thought about the film in a reply to this post.
