It's an unusual time (normally, those films appear later in the year), but tonight, the Sneak once again showed a Fantasy Filmfest film - to be more exact, the film was screened at the Fantasy Filmfest Nights in June of 2021. "The Owners" is the conematic debut of french director Julius Berg who previously worked at a number of series in France (for example "La forêt" and "Les rivières pourpres"). He also adapted the Belgian graphic novel "Une nuit de pleine lune" (which was released in 2011) for this film together with Mathieu Gompel and Geoff Cox (who also co-penned #1269 "High Life"). Here's the trailer for their adaptation called "The Owners":
And how did you like the film? Did you enjoy the story, which seemed to be a distant cousin of "Don't Breathe!? How about the performances, by "Game of Thrones" veteran Maisie Williams as Mary, a very reluctant participant in the burglary? How about the titular owners, Sylvester McCoy as Dr. Richard Huggins who played a different kind of doctor back in the late 1980s in "Doctor Who", and Rita Tushingham (who turned 80 earlier this year) as his wife Ellen? Please let us know what you thought of the film in a reply to this posting.
