Welcome to the sneak, Paul Feig! It's true that Hollywoods most notable comedy director of the 2010s - both lauded and derided by public and critics alike - got his sneak debut tonight with "A Simple Favor" (at least when it comes to directing). It's only fitting because the film is somewhat of a departure of sorts for him. After mainly doing TV work for more than a decade, Feig rose to fame directing the oscar-nominated comedy "Bridesmaids" in 2011; after that, he did two more commercially successful comedies, both starring Melissa McCarthy ("The Heat", "Spy") before he chose to pen and direct the now-infamous all-female "Ghostbusters" reboot which bombed domestically two years ago.

"A Simple Favor" is his first film since then, and it's not a comedy, but a thriller. That's at least the genre the novel of the same name was put in which was the debut of teacher-turned-writer Darcy Bell. The film rights to the novel were sold before the book was even released, and the production started mere months after the publication in spring of 2017. That's quite a quick turnaround for Hollywood. But how does a mystery novel look when it's filmed by a comedy director? Let's take a look at the trailer:

Well, that looks pretty dark and ominous - but as you shouldn't judge a book by its cover ... How did you like "A Simple Favor"? What about the story with its many, many, many twists and turns? Did you like the performances by leads Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively? And how about the tone of the film. Please remember to respect those who weren't able to watch the film tonight and use
