The Urban Dictionary classifies a fixer as
A person who makes arrangements for people, especially illegally or deviously.

Though classifiying Norman Oppenheimer, as portrayed by Richard Gere, as devious would probably be going too far, the New York fixer certainly knows when to embellish his credentials, or flaunt connections to more important peopole he clearly doesn't have. What he has in abundance is persistance, and this persistence is what drives the talkative, humorous proceedings of "Norman" the first english-language film by the New York native Joseph Cedar, who moved as a child to Israel but returned to college in New York before starting his career as a filmmaker back in Israel. He already won a "Silberner Bär" at the Berlin film festival, and was nominated for the foreign-language "Ocars" in 2012.

This is the trailer for "Norman":

How did you like the film, which mainly consisted of walking and talking, and Richard Gere, of course? How would you rate his performance, especially compared to his other 2017 sneak movie "The Dinner", which was more of an ensemble film? Don't hesitate to write down your thoughts about "Norman" as a reply to this post, though I can't promise you any expensive shoes for doing so. 8-)
